gathering at gardens 16/12/12

Very pleased to see such a large turn out on Sunday . 11 people to be precise. Not bad. The gathering was designed to discuss a charter for the gardens. For the sub committee which is being formed.Was very stress free and easy, and everybody was happy with the way the garden is now looking. I have been liquid fertilising twice a week as the soils are lacking in organic matter. But this will change with time. well done all and thanks to steve annd kids , ted and tess and jan for your efforts in your plantings, also to all others who assisted in weeding and bed prep. special mention to gerald for putting pitch fork tru a pipe , funny tree root ay ol mate? The main thing to come out of the gathering was all we want to do is grow produce not be focused on events or money making schemes. Food is what the community gardens are all about. nothing more nothing less. the charter will be published very soon. Trust me it will be VERY simple.and straight forward. bye for now.
